Sensors also help to improve driving comfort and monitor the driver. For example, they record the seat position, the viewing angle or the driver’s condition.
Modern vehicles are equipped with a driver monitoring camera, for example, which records the driver’s gaze. If there are signs of tiredness or inattention, the driver is warned by acoustic signals and vibrations in the steering wheel. In addition, seat sensors can detect the driver’s position and automatically adjust the seat settings to ensure maximum comfort.
